Description
Interior design project for the living area of an already renovated apartment.
The project concerns an apartment with stunning panoramic views in a historic building located on the slopes of the Vomero hill.
The young couple had a dual request; on one hand, the husband had a strong inclination towards the antique, preservation, and the search for antique pieces, while the dynamic wife leaned towards clean, functional, and contemporary lines.
A beautiful source of inspiration was to make these seemingly opposing but complementary figures coexist. The keyword of the project was "connection."
The know-how lay in finding harmony within the original contrast.
The multifunctional bookshelf wall was composed of closed modules within open shelving units at regular intervals. The treatment of the door fronts of the closed sections served as the link between the personalities of the client couple. The doors were adorned with an artistic decoration made of concrete and resin with textured imprints and metallic powders. The balance between decorative textures and abstract ones created a stylistic placement perfectly in line with the homeowners' expectations: historically contemporary!
